Short Bio

I hold a position of senior researcher at INRIA. I received a PhD in C.S. from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble in 1994 and a MS in C.S. from the ENS Lyon in 1990.

My research interests include parallel algorithms, scheduling for large scale distributed platforms, large scale data management, over Clusters, Clouds, and edge platforms.

Between 2001 and 2006, I was deputy director of the LIP laboratory at ENS Lyon, France, and between 2006 and January 2009 director of LIP. In 2010, I co-founded the startup SysFera where I was a scientific advisor. Between 2012 and 2021, I served as deputy to the scientific director in charge of high performance computing, distributed systems, networking and software engineering. Since September 2021, I am the director of the INRIA center at University Grenoble Alpes.

I am IEEE and ACM member.
